Web Site Design

DeTray Associates' primary consideration when creating a web site is your business goal or purpose for having a site on the World Wide Web. Some web sites are marketing tools, while others are informational resources. A web site can offer products or services for sale, or it can simply let customers know that your company exists and tell them know how to contact you.

How you wish to use your web site is something only you can determine. The business goals of some companies may be accomplished with a one-page web site, while other companies may require hundreds of pages. The needs of most companies will fall somewhere in between.

Web Site Construction

Once we know what kind of site you need, we'll ask you for your company's logos, photographs, artwork, and descriptive copy, then build the site to your specifications. Typically, we incorporate your existing graphics to maintain a consistent "look and feel" between your web site and your other marketing materials.

How long will it take us to build your site? A small site of five pages or less can sometimes be completed in only two or three weeks, once we have the necessary materials from you. Large sites may require two or three months.

Web Site Marketing

Once your site is ready to launch, DeTray Associates will make sure that the site is properly prepared for indexing by search engines. We do not offer marketing services, but we would be happy to recommend the services of a marketing company for ongoing internet marketing strategy.

Web Site Maintenance

After your site is "up and running," DeTray Associates can maintain your site, including monitoring any external links, updating time sensitive material and pricing information, and adding current, fresh material, or, if you prefer, we can train someone in your organization to maintain your site.

Domain Registration and Web Site Hosting

DeTray Associates can help you register your domain name (your "dot-com" address) or explain how you can do it yourself. Registration costs under $10, so we often suggest reserving more than one domain name. Once you've registered your domain name, it's yours forever, as long as you pay the annual renewal fee.

Your web site must also be "hosted" on a computer system connected to the Internet. We offer reasonably priced web site hosting to provide your site's online "home." We're also happy to work with your existing host, if you already have one.
