• Flour container that works like a pounce
• Cookie cutters that look like AccuQuilt dies

It’s true. I’ve been selected as a finalist in the amateur division of McCall’s Quilt Design Star 2012 contest! I’m very honored to be selected and looking forward to the challenges ahead.

I’ve already received the guidelines for Challenge 1 and I’ve been working up designs in EQ7. I’m not settled on a design yet; I want to sleep on it for a day or two before I start cutting. I can’t wait too long as the top has to be finished by June 17.

I’ll let you know when voting is available for this round. I appreciate the support you’ve given me to get this far!

10. You have a dream about a new block and wake up to draw it out in EQ. The next night, you dream about finding the perfect thimble. You wake up and, sadly, it hasn’t arrived by Priority Mail.

I was looking at the latest issue of one of my favorite quilting magazines – don’t ask which one because I can’t remember – and I saw an ad for Dear Stella Designs. If you are looking for contemporary designs, bright colors and great project ideas be sure to check out their site.

My favorite – their line of Stella Dot fabrics. They are polka dots with a little something added. Check them out!

I have made several quilts to donate to Quilts for Kids, a very special organization that donates small quilts to children in need, many of them in hospitals across the country.

I just received an email from Quilts for Kids; although donations of quilts are coming in as usual, they are in need of funds to help get the quilts delivered. I showed my support by visiting their website, clicking on How to Help on the top menu bar and then selecting Donate. They are accepting donations through PayPal and I was happy to do my part.

Welcome to the all new ColorMeQuilted blog! My plan is to further develop this website and present some of my favorite quilts, along with the patterns, fabrics and supplies to make them.
