I’m working on completing Step 2 of Bonnie Hunter’s Easy Street Mystery Quilt. While Bonnie is using purple for her geese, I’m using yellows/golds. I’ll be using purple as one of the main colors.
I didn’t get all of my geese made yet; this is just a small sample. I’ll be working on them throughout the week. Although both of the sky pieces match on each of the geese in the photo, most of mine do not match. It’s totally random, and that’s part of the fun!
I’m looking forward to Step 3!
I love the yellow. Can’t wait to see your quilt.
Thanks, Valerie! I love the brights, and I think they’ll look great against the black and white and grey. Are you working on Easy Street as well?
Love the colors, the yellow is a nice touch.
Thanks, Rhoda! I’m trying to make sure the other two colors have as much intensity as the yellow. It’s been fun shopping my stash!
Lovin’ the yellow!
Yellow is one of my favorite colors! I think it’s going to look great. If I wasn’t such a big chicken, I might not be following Bonnie’s colors either. But, this is my first Mystery quilt and I just started quilting in July. I figured that I should go with her colors this time.
Your geese are so nice and neat. Mine go every whichaway. The yellow is nice and cheerful. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
I used Bonnie’s method with the rulers and was surprised how well they came out. I’m usually not the most precise piecer but I’ve been working on getting it right. Today’s new step looks like fun! I can’t wait to see how this is going to go together!
Lovely golden geese! The colour looks so striking against the black/white fabrics. Clue 3 is here!
Thank you! I love Clue 3 – fun units and I get to add another color.
